Precision Fertilizer Application (PFA) is a comprehensive technology, integrating the theories of soil science, plant nutrition science, and information science and technology. This technology produces various dynamic models for fertilizer application based on the nutrient supply capacities of different types of soil, the relationship between soil water and fertilizer use efficiency, and nutrient demand of rubber tree leaves as well as desired latex yield of rubber tree. The technology is much more precise in fertilizer application than the traditional one, much more accurate in fertilizer application rate, location and time, apart from more rapid in fertilizer application decision making.
